A little Detour

Wow! What a whirlwind of a weekend Matt and I had! We went to a fertility Dr. on Thursday to talk about the frozen embryo transfer (FET). However, we ended up talking about our other options and she wants us to do an IUI or Intrauterine Insemination. I will spare you the details and let you look that up if you'd like. ;) So, in a few weeks we will be trying that to see if it helps us get pregnant. That's a HUGE prayer request by the way!

Then on Friday and Saturday we went to our Adoption classes all day that are required under CO law. It was so eye-opening and really gave Matt and I a heart for these children and the (most often) teen mom's who give these children up. We learned everything from the challenges you face raising adopted children, to infant care, to child development.

So where does this leave us? Well it certainly brought a LOT of confusion and some tears as we tried to decide where to go from here. We want to adopt, but we also want to try to have our own children. So we have decided to take a little "detour." We will try IUI's for a few months to see what happens, then if it doesn't work, we will get back on the adoption route. I cannot tell you how unexpected this was, but exciting at the same time! So now we get back on the infertility roller coaster... AH!
